THE GREAT AMERICAN PANTRY
This catalog is a collection of food ingredients used in the United States. A plethora of artificial ingredients and preservatives are used in the food industry, and these same ingredients can be found in the most unexpected inedible items. I perfect bound two copies of this catalog by hand.
The first section is a list of nearly 2,000 artificial ingredients, and the second section goes into further detail about some of the ingredients listed.
Alternative names, items the ingredient is found in, and side effects of the ingredient are listed opposite of an image.
I created the each image to be a combination of one food item and one non-food item that share the same ingredient described on that page.
